Red Oak Tax Refunds have been producing tax refunds for our customers since 2007 and are proud to offer excellent service, customer focus and a skilled tax refund team.

Based in Carlow, we enjoy the support of Carlow County Enterprise Board in their state of the art premises at Enterprise House, OBrien Road, Carlow town.

We currently have 10 people working at Red Oak Tax Refunds (Nov '10).  We are all completely focussed on getting Tax Refunds for ordinary PAYE employees, which is very enjoyable.

Founder Profile - John O'Connor

Red Oak Tax Refunds was launched by John O'Connor  in 2009.

After completing a Degree in Business Studies in Limerick in 1994, John completed accountancy exams in 1997 following which he worked in London in Banking.  Following his return to Ireland in 2005, John left his role as Investment Accountant with Canada Life to start a Tax Refunds business.

John is established as one of the foremost commentators on Personal Taxation and the PAYE Taxation System and has recently featured in the Sunday Times, The Irish Times, the Daily Star and in Local Radio & Newspapers nationwide.  He is also the primary contributor to the Red Oak Tax Refunds Blog.

John's pet hate in the Tax System is the Health Levy.  Any tax that can leave you worse off for getting a pay rise should not be accepted, especially for it's impact to those on lower incomes.

John's favourite Tax Refund that we reclaimed, was collected late on Christmas Eve last year.  We pleasantly surprised the customer with a call that morning to say his refund had arrived  Our customer quickly ordered heating oil and made the trip up to Carlow for the refund which made that Christmas cosier for the client and more satisfying for both.
